Principal Automation Engineer – (Manufacturing) Minnesota Texas Georgia

Job Description

• Creation and implementation of best practices for factory automation and digitalization for multiple sites Globally
• Develop planning vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance KPIs
• Drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement, machine availability
• Implement projects connected to SMART Manufacturing/Industry 4.0 projects
• Interface with Project Management, Manufacturing, and other disciplines
• PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Review standards and compliance requirements applicable to the electrical control systems
• Ensure compliance to industry and regional health and safety standards

Experience Required

• 10+ years minimum experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of Factory Automation and Digitalization
• Experienced with SMART Manufacturing/Industry 4.0 projects implementation
• Solid PLC design and implementation experience
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code, ANSI, NEMA, IEEE ISA Standards, API Recommended Practices, and international standards (IEC, ATEX, GOST, etc.)
• Control system and HMI hardware and software.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills and ability to multitask
• Strong in communication, influencing, change management skills
• Ideation/creativity but still results-oriented
