Aerodynamic Engineer – Pennsylvania

Job Description

• Design aerodynamic components of compressors
• Modifying existing designs as well as creating new designs
• Act as main point of contact for aerodynamic information from the multiple departments to manufacturing
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles and have experience using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to research and apply technical subject matter to create engineering processes or solve complex issues
• Utilize aerodynamic designs to meet aerodynamic performance criteria and support Sales and Project management to ensure successful performance quotations
• Analyze technical data and collaborate with others to identify improvements and create standardization measures
• Develop and implement finished product testing plan(s)
• Continually look for ways to improve processes, customer satisfaction, quality of products, team achievements, and overall company objectives
• Develop acceptance tests and inspection criteria
• Provide technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel

Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS) or Master’s Degree (MS) in Aerodynamic or Mechanical Engineering
• 5-10 years of related experience
• Knowledge products in the rotary or reciprocating equipment
• Capable of designing and implementing processes
• Operations or manufacturing engineering experience dealing with assembly of mechanical products
• Experience applying statistical techniques to reduce process variation and solving design and manufacturing challenges
• Demonstrated experience working across multiple teams through collaboration and communication; interpersonal savvy
• Firm commitment to excellence and high standards
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively
• Proficient experience with Office 365 software, Solid modeling, SQL Database, LabVIEW, and CFD Software
